Barkat Envelope is designed to help you manage your budget locally. We collect only the information you choose to enter into the app to help you track your spending:
Budgeting Data: Your name (optional), envelope names, monthly budget amounts, and rollover settings.
Transaction Data: Spending entries, including amounts, dates, and any notes you write to describe your purchases.
Custom Icons: If you choose to personalize an envelope with a photo, the app accesses your device's photo picker to let you select and crop an image.
2. How Your Data is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device. We do not use cloud storage, external servers, or any online databases.
Database: Your budget and transaction history are stored in a private database on your phone.
Settings: Your preferences (like currency symbol and dark mode) are saved in the app's private settings.
Images: Photos you select for envelope icons are cropped and saved into the app's private internal storage folder.
3. No Third-Party Sharing
Because the app is fully offline and has no internet access:
No Analytics: We do not track how you use the app.
No Ads: The app does not contain advertisements or tracking SDKs.
No Cloud Sync: Your data is not backed up to our servers (we don't have any).
No Disclosure: We cannot sell or share your data because we never receive it.
4. Use of Device Features
Photo Gallery: The app uses the system's "Photo Picker" only when you decide to change an envelope's icon to a custom photo. The app only accesses the specific photo you select. This photo is processed and stored locally on your device; it is never uploaded to the internet.
No Other Permissions: The app does not require or use your location, contacts, microphone, camera, or any other sensitive device features.
5. Data Deletion
Trash Feature: When you delete an envelope or a transaction, it is moved to a "Trash" section within the app. You can restore it or permanently delete it from there.
App Uninstallation: If you uninstall Barkat Envelope from your device, all data stored within the app—including your budget history, settings, and saved icons—will be permanently deleted by the Android system.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data remains on your device and we have no access to it, we do not have a way to identify or store information about any user, including children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app's "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
