Privacy Policy

Easy Udhar collects and stores information that you manually enter into the app to help you manage your shop's credit records. This includes:

• Shop Information: Your shop name, owner name, phone number, and an optional shop profile photo.
• Account Security: If you enable an app lock, we store a secure hash of your password or PIN and your chosen security question and answer. We never store your actual password or PIN in plain text.
• Customer Details: Names, phone numbers, addresses, and optional customer photos.
• Transaction Records: The amount, type (Udhar/Credit or Payment), description, and date/time of every transaction you record.
• App Settings: Your preferences for language, theme, and clock format.

The app requests specific permissions only when necessary for the features you choose to use:

• Read Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): This permission is requested only if you explicitly tap "Grant Access" or a similar button while adding or editing a customer. It is used solely to let you pick a phone number from your contact list to save you time. We do not upload your contact list or store any contact information other than the specific name and number you select.
• Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): On older versions of Android (Android 9 and below), this permission is used to allow you to save generated PDF reports, receipts, or shop photos to your device's gallery or Downloads folder. On newer versions of Android, the app uses modern "Scoped Storage" which does not require this broad permission.

• No Network Transmission: Easy Udhar does not transmit your shop data, customer details, or transaction records over the internet. There are no background network calls carrying your personal or business data.
• No Analytics or Ads: We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising platforms. Your usage of the app remains entirely private to your device.
• Sharing Features: The app allows you to generate transaction receipts or reminders. These are shared only when you manually choose to send them through your own installed apps (such as WhatsApp or SMS).

You have the option to create backup files of your data.

• User Control: Backups are files that you create and save to a location of your choice on your own device or personal cloud storage.
• Data Excluded: For your security, backup files exclude your account password/PIN and security answers. They also exclude actual photo files to keep the backup size manageable.

• Customer Trash Bin: When you delete a customer, they are moved to a "Recycle Bin" (Trash) for 30 days. During this time, you can restore them. After 30 days, the customer and all their associated records are permanently and automatically deleted.
• Record Deletion: When you delete an individual transaction record and confirm the action, it is deleted permanently from your device immediately.
• App Uninstallation: If you uninstall the app, all data stored within the app's private database will be deleted by the Android system unless you have manually created a backup file elsewhere.

Easy Udhar is a business tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time, including as new features are added in future versions of the app. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
