HiTend Digital ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PP Editor mobile application for Android. This Privacy Policy explains that our app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or images to external servers.
PP Editor is a privacy-first application. All photo editing happens entirely on your device, and the app does not use the internet.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
No personal data collection — we do not collect any personal identifiers such as your name, email, or phone number.
No cloud storage — we do not upload your photos to any servers.
No analytics or tracking — we do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools.
No ads — the app does not display advertisements.
2. How We Process Your Photos
All image processing, including background removal and cropping, happens entirely on your device.
On-device machine learning — we use Google's ML Kit (Selfie Segmentation) to help you remove or replace photo backgrounds. This runs locally on your phone's processor; your photos never leave your device.
Local storage — when you choose to save your photo, the app writes the final image directly to your device's Gallery/Media Library using the Android MediaStore API.
3. Permissions We Use
Storage (Write External Storage) — on Android 9 and below, used solely to save your finished photos to your device's Gallery. On newer Android versions, we use the system Photo Picker and MediaStore API, which don't require broad storage access.
Photo Picker — we use the standard Android Photo Picker to let you choose a photo from your gallery, so the app only ever accesses the specific photo you select.
The app does not request Camera or Internet permissions.
4. Third-Party Services
Google ML Kit (Selfie Segmentation) — used for background removal. This is an on-device API that processes images locally and does not send them to Google's servers.
Coil — used for efficient image loading and display within the app. It operates entirely locally.
5. Internet Connectivity
PP Editor does not use the internet. The app does not request the Internet permission and contains no network calls, so it is technically unable to transmit your data or photos to us or anyone else.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect any data from any user, the app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
7. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store any of your data on our servers, there is no data for us to give you access to, correct, or delete. You retain full control over the photos stored on your own device, wherever you are located.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated "Last updated" date.
